PETIT JEAN (KMPJ)

It may seem odd for a 5,000’ paved runway be included in the FLY OZ network but the Petit Jean Airport is part of Arkansas’ first state park. You can easily spend a day or two with activities here. The airport has a dedicated camping area with shower house. Call the boathouse to have them come grab your party from the airport’s camping area to ride over to the recently built welcome center. Next to the welcome center are yurts that can be rented which have electricity and sleep up to 6.

Also atop the mountain is the Mather lodge which is the trailhead to the Cedar Falls trail (which leads to a stunning waterfall), lodge restaurant, a pool, and cabins.
